GET TO KNOW JAMIE

Photography started for me as a kid staging dress-up sessions and recreating fashion shoots with my family as willing subjects. I was fascinated by fashion magazines and recreating the styling and expressions, and how a camera could change the way someone saw themselves.

That curiosity eventually turned into a career. I studied communications and journalism in college, spent time working in a newsroom, won two Associated Press awards for photojournalism, and in 2023 was inducted into Senior Style Guide’s Hall of Fame for senior photographers.

I’ve also spent years on the other side of the camera as a commercial model, which gives me a deep understanding of how exposed it can feel to be photographed. Guiding and directing people confidently through that experience—especially when they’re unsure or uncomfortable—is a big part of my work.

Outside of photography, life is full. I’m married to my husband, Chris, and we’re raising our miracle twins.

At the core, this work has always been about helping people see themselves a little differently.
